Mr. Jeremy de Boer is the Senior Case Consultant in the Conflict Management and Human Rights Office at the University of Waterloo.  Mr. de Boer provides confidential consultations, mediation services and investigative services related to formal complaints of harassment and discrimination to all community members at the University of Waterloo.  Previously Mr. de Boer spent 6 years working at the Children’s Aid Society as a child protection working investigating allegations of child abuse.  Mr. de Boer has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from the University of Waterloo and a Certificate in Mediation from Conrad Grebel College.  In his free time, Mr. de Boer likes to play a variety of sports and watch his son grow.

Lynn Long, the Senior Education and Learning Specialist, joined the Conflict Management and Human Rights Office (CMAHRO) in 2009.  Lynn’s work focuses on informal responses to conflict, including workplace assessments, conflict coaching, and diverse educational initiatives aimed at building competency in and capacity for responding to conflict effectively.  With over 20 years of experience in adult education, several education-focused undergraduate and graduate degrees (B.Sc., B. Ed., MAIS, PhD candidate), and a Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation, Lynn is passionate about exploring new and more effective ways to support University of Waterloo community members (faculty, staff and students) in establishing and maintaining strong relations.  She also loves cycling, rock climbing, camping, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Pamela Salhani is the Senior Investigation Specialist in the Conflict Management and Human Rights Office at the University of Waterloo.  Ms. Salhani provides neutral and transparent investigations and is dedicated to the principles of fairness, justice, restoration and resolution of complaints through investigations and dispute resolution methods.  Ms. Salhani is an accomplished Human Resource Leader with over (20) years’ experience in Human Resource Leadership and the management of complaints and investigations for large Canadian not-for-profit organizations.

Ms. Salhani holds a BA in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, Certification in Conflict Management & Mediation & Advanced Peace Making from Conrad Grebel College, Specialized Certificate in Managing, Investigating, and Resolving Workplace Harassment Complaints from the University of Toronto and diplomas in Human Resource Management and Corrections.  Pamela is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and a member of the Association of workplace Investigators.
