AIMday™: AgTech North

Thursday, October 30, 2025
Thursday, October 30, 2025 (all day)

AIMday™ AgTech North is a workshop where organizations (industry and government groups) meet UW’s professors to discuss and propose solutions to industry’s challenges in sustainable applications for agriculture. Technology and solutions that enable agriculture and aquaculture (AgTech) are at the advent of a revolution. AgTech will enable small scale and efficient agriculture in northern climates and feed growing population densities. Further, as a Canadian university, Northern agriculture is key to adapting to climate change and supporting communities that lack food security throughout the harsh winters. Join us to discuss pressing sustainability concerns in AgTech and foster new research collaborations across sectors.

AIMday™ is a unique and highly effective program for university-based researchers and organizations to connect, build partnerships and bring world-class research to life. By matching academic expertise with the needs of organizations, AIMday™ furthers understanding and enables new perspectives on real-world problems.

At this AIMday™ workshop, industry and academic experts will discuss the submitted questions in the following categories:

  1. Robotics and autonomous systems for agriculture in northern communities
  2. AI and data science to optimize agricultural practices and processes
  3. Efficient and sustainable agricultural practices for northern communities
