Up to two scholarships valued at $5,000 each are awarded annually to full-time graduate students enrolled in Year One of the Master's (thesis option) or Doctoral program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics on the basis of academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average). This scholarship has been established to help the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics continue to attract top students world-wide.
This fund is made possible by a donation from Microsoft in honour of Lijiang Fang, BMath and MMath whose work along with his team at his company awarded him with an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award from Microsoft.
