Call for Application: Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant

The Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant is looking for doctoral students and Postdocs for a fully-funded short-term research stay (1 – 3 months) at one of the 18 Helmholtz centers in Germany. The grant is promoted by the Helmholtz Information and Data Science Academy (HiDA). It aims to enable new research collaborations, foster knowledge exchange, and explore new or emerging research topics in the field of information and data sciences. The program addresses researchers in both academia and in the industry whose research has a strong link to the (applied) information and data sciences.

Call for Application: 2022 Senior Women Talent Pipeline

The Senior Women Talent Pipeline (SWTP) at the Department of Operational Support (DOS) is the United Nations (UN) Secretariat’s flagship project aimed at increasing gender parity among senior level (P5- D2) civilian staff in UN field missions. The SWTP provides personalized support to members as they apply for senior positions through the UN Staff Selection System and tailored training opportunities to make members more competitive in the recruitment process. Support includes review of applications and profiles, support in preparing for assessments, targeted training and development opportunities enhancing members’ profiles and competitiveness during recruitment processes, and membership in a global professional network of women leaders.

Call for Proposal: Social and Behavioral Research Grants

Sabin is launching its fourth funding cycle of the Social and Behavioral Research Grants program with the following tracks: recovering lost gains in routine childhood immunizations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; building effective adult immunization and life-course vaccination programs in a post-pandemic world; and operationalizing the WHO Behavioral and Social Drivers (BeSD) framework. Successful applicants will be awarded funding for projects to conduct research and implement solutions for up to 18 months beginning in March 2023. Sabin intends to make awards of up to US$70,000 per funded project.

The Informed Choice Project aims to leverage a Canada-wide network of healthcare workers and volunteers to tackle misinformation in the social media ecosystem. The approach involves volunteers engaging directly with anti-vaccine posts and comments to curb the spread of misinformation. If you have time to engage in 3-5 conversations on social media each week and attend several feedback meetings, this is a great opportunity to hone infodemic management skill.
