George earned his PhD from the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Prof. Helen Chen since Fall 2019. Before coming to Waterloo, George obtained a 5-year Diploma in Computer Engineering & Informatics in 2014 and an MSc in Computer Science & Engineering in 2016, both from the University of Patras, Greece.
George’s research interests included novel natural language processing (NLP) models, data augmentation, and data structures and standards in health informatics. His research aimed to build specialized in the healthcare domain natural language processing tools that will facilitate the decision-making process of physicians.
