ERS 340 is an applied ecology course for aspiring professional ecologists, aligned with the Ecological Society of America’s certification. The course includes intensive field exercises in ecological sampling, experimental design, and analysis, using protocols like the Vegetative Sampling Protocol (VSP). Students will develop advanced taxonomic identification skills and gain experience with certifications such as the Ontario Benthos Biomonitoring Network (OBBN) and training in electrofishing and boating for research.
