Be the voice of change by sharing your ideas, feedback and insights on the workplace culture at the University of Waterloo.

In partnership with Human Resources (HR), University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA), Faculty Association of University of Waterloo (FAUW), and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Korn Ferry, a leading international management consultancy administered an online survey to all employee groups on May 1st, 2019.

To ensure confidentiality, no individual responses will be shared with the University of Waterloo. Korn Ferry collects and stores all survey responses and distributes results by employee group only.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can I be honest in the survey?

Yes. We encourage employees to be completely honest on the survey. This is the only way to get good data we can work with to make improvements to the workplace and culture at Waterloo.

How can I be sure the survey is confidential?

Provided you do not share any information in the open questions that could identify you, the survey is completely confidential. Korn Ferry only reports aggregated data for University of Waterloo groups that contain ten or more employees who complete the survey. If the number of participants from any group is less than ten, responses will be rolled up to the next level in the organizational hierarchy.

Are there alternatives to taking the survey online?

Yes, if you would like a paper copy of the survey, please pick one up at Human Resources in EC1 as of May 1st, 2019. You will be provided with a return envelope to send the survey directly to Korn Ferry.

How is my privacy protected?

The University of Waterloo is committed to respecting the privacy of respondents to this survey. All personal information created, held, or collected by Korn Ferry is protected by Canada's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and consistent with Waterloo's information and privacy policy.
