Masters student
Michèle Bridger is a Masters student in the Local Economic Development program at the University of Waterloo’s School of Environment, Enterprise and Development.
She completed the internship portion of her degree at the Municipality of North Grenville, and continues to work there in the hopes of further developing the regions local food economy. Culinary tourism is especially important in that regard.
With a undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Carleton University, and plenty of experience working on organic Community Supported Agriculture and Market farms in both Ontario and Quebec, Michèle’s research focuses on strong, sustainable rural economies specifically pertaining to local food networks and their impact.
