Our lab team member Nauman Shakeel presented his paper Integrating AI Scribe Technology into Public Health Workflows: Simulation and Field Evaluation in Disease Case Management at the Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) 2026 conference. The conference took place in Genova Italy May 25- 28, 2026 to bring researchers from around the world together with the goal to "open the personal gate between technology and health care."
This project explored the integration of AI-assisted documentation into infectious disease management workflows within public health settings, with the goal of reducing administrative burden and improving workflow efficiency.
We would like to thank our project partners, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH), for their collaboration, expertise, and support throughout the study.
