Jacie is a Computer Science master's student supervised by Helen Chen and Anita Layton. She has a strong foundation in Biomedical Sciences from her Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
She is passionate about advancing discovery through computational methods, focusing her research on whole-body metabolism models, with a particular emphasis on liver function and its role in metabolic processes. Her current work involves combining machine learning with cardiac electrophysiology models to predict drug-induced heart toxicity from molecular structure. This hybrid approach could improve prediction of possible drug candidates computationally before expensive experimental testing.
