About Holistic Benefits Working Group

The Holistic Benefits Working Group was established in 2018 by the Pension & Benefits Committee.

Purpose

The goal of the Holistic Benefits Working Group is:

  • To conduct a holistic review of benefits offered to employees and retirees (including life insurance, long term disability, extended health, and dental)
  • To ensure the employee benefit plan is competitive against the University’s comparators
  • Solicit feedback from employees and retirees with respect to opportunities for improvement
  • To address any opportunities for improvement while maintaining current University costs (i.e. cost neutral to the University)

Working Group

The group includes membership from key stakeholder groups across the organization (Union, Staff, Faculty, Retirees and Affiliated and Federated University Colleges) and representatives from University Administration.
