Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath
Famed for their sharp improvisation and undeniable onstage chemistry, Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath are one of Canada’s most celebrated comedy partnerships. Both alumni of Toronto’s legendary Second City, they’ve built remarkable careers spanning television, film, theatre and live performance.
Colin Mochrie rose to international prominence through his iconic appearances on the British and American versions of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and has since appeared in numerous acclaimed television series and films. A recipient of multiple comedy and performance awards, he is also the author of Not Quite the Classics, a playful reimagining of literary favorites.
Debra McGrath is an accomplished actor, writer and producer whose credits include Baroness Von Sketch Show, Little Mosque on the Prairie and The Ron James Show. She co-created, co-wrote, produced and starred in CBC’s Getting Along Famously alongside Mochrie.
Together, Colin and Debra bring a customized, quick-witted and uproariously entertaining improv performance to conferences and events. Their appearance at the Hub Conference will offer a memorable close to a day focused on sustainability, “From Ideas to Impact”, bringing the audience together through creativity, connection and the joyful art of saying yes.

Adrien Côté
CEO, Existent

Adrien Côté is the CEO of Existent, a company unlocking affordable industrial separations, including carbon capture, through next-generation adsorbent technology. His career has consistently focused on identifying and building commercial opportunities at the intersection of industry insight, advanced research, and technology.
Before Existent, Adrien was the Executive Director at Velocity, the University of Waterloo's flagship entrepreneurship centre, where he led strategy and programs to help university-connected founders start and grow businesses. During his tenure, he spearheaded the spinout of the Velocity Fund, the first initiative of its kind in Canada, and supported the growth of a startup portfolio now valued at over $40 billion. Prior to Velocity, he held commercialization roles at Xerox and conducted research at UCLA's California NanoSystems Institute, focusing on novel materials for gas storage and separation.
Adrien holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, an Executive Master's in Technology Management, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. His scientific work has appeared in Science, Nature, and other leading journals, with over 28,000 citations, and he holds more than 50 patents. Throughout his career, Adrien has focused on helping breakthrough science move from the lab into the real world.

Dolf DeJong
Chief Executive Officer, Toronto Zoo

Dolf DeJong is the Chief Executive Officer of your Toronto Zoo, where he leads one of Canada’s most respected wildlife conservation organizations. With a strong background in environmental stewardship and nonprofit leadership, Dolf is passionate about connecting people to nature and inspiring action to protect people, wildlife and wild spaces.
Since joining the Toronto Zoo in 2018, Dolf has overseen significant developments including major capital projects, conservation initiatives, and community engagement programs. Under his leadership, the Zoo has expanded its role in research and animal wellbeing, while reinforcing its commitment to truth and reconciliation and sustainability.
A dynamic and inclusive leader, Dolf is recognized for championing biodiversity and climate action in Canada and beyond. He is frequently called upon to speak on conservation, leadership, and the importance of fostering a deeper public connection to nature. Outside of work, Dolf is an avid outdoors enthusiast who believes in living—and leading—with purpose.

Elder Myeengun Henry
Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, University of Waterloo

As Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, Elder Myeengun Henry provides strategic leadership Indigenization and decolonization for the Faculty of Health and throughout the University. Elder Henry identifies and fosters reciprocal, respectful relationships with Indigenous individuals and communities, helping to create meaningful pathways for collaboration and understanding. He is a member of the UW Indigenous Advisory Circle, leads annual Indigenous commitment ceremonies and co-carries the University Eagle Staff.
Elder Henry is a former elected Chief of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, band councillor, Manager of Indigenous Services, and Professor of Indigenous Studies at Conestoga College. He conducts Indigenous ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, healing, and naming. Elder Henry is a traditional medicine practitioner, environmental protectionist, Hummingbird researcher/bander, Wampum belt holder, Indigenous social counsellor, and radio and podcast host.
He is the current elder for the Ontario Provincial Police Indigenous advisory circle, and Chair of the Elder council for the Law Society of Ontario. He created the Waterloo Region Hospital Indigenous Advisory Council and is currently creating a Southern Ontario Indigenous Traditional Healers consortium, further strengthening Indigenous representation and advocacy in health and healthcare spaces.

Scott Morrison
Partner, PwC, Sustainability Reporting & Assurance

Scott is a Partner in PwC’s Sustainability practice. Through his experience working in Canada and internationally, he has gained a wealth of knowledge on sustainability risks and opportunities affecting businesses in multiple industries, allowing him to bring practical solutions in helping his clients navigate this rapidly evolving space.
Scott works with leading organizations to enhance the credibility of their sustainability performance and respond to increasing non-financial assurance expectations. He brings deep expertise across a range of sustainability matters, including GHG emissions, sustainable finance, IFRS Sustainability Standards, CSRD, OSFI-B15 regulation, and investment in decarbonization assets. In addition, he has led several reporting system implementations, helping clients strengthen their reporting processes and governance.
Scott sits on the AASB’s Sustainability Advisory Committee and is Vice-Chair of CPA Ontario's Sustainability Advisory Committee, where he helps to advise Canada’s standard setters and professional bodies on the future of sustainability reporting and assurance. He holds his CPA, CA designation and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a business degree.

Miswar Syed
CEO and Founder, Swish Solar

Miswar Syed is the CEO and Founder of Swish Solar, a Canadian startup in the clean energy sector developing AI-powered and nanotechnology-based solutions for utility scale solar infrastructure. He holds a MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where his research focused on renewable energy systems and energy storage.
Miswar has authored more than 20 publications, is an inventor on multiple patents, and has received several awards for innovation and entrepreneurship. Under his leadership, Swish Solar has raised over US$1.7 million, secured commercial partnerships across multiple countries, and is building solutions that help solar asset owners maximize energy production, reduce operating costs, and improve the performance of large-scale renewable energy assets.

Raylene Whitford
Founder, Canative Energy

Raylene Whitford is a scholar-practitioner PhD Candidate at the University of Alberta whose research examines how corporate sustainability disclosure frameworks recognize, obscure, or omit Indigenous Peoples’ rights. A fellow Chartered Accountant and former partner at Deloitte, Raylene has nearly two decades of international experience across energy, finance, and capital markets.
Raylene is the founder of Canative Energy, where she advises investors on Indigenous rights, sustainability governance, and rights-based risk. She is also the Chair of the First Nations University of Canada Board of Governors and serves in several governance and advisory roles across Indigenous economic development, energy, and finance. Her work bridges scholarship and practice, with a focus on moving sustainability beyond performance narratives toward accountability, consent, and meaningful Indigenous participation in decision-making. Raylene is a member of the Métis Nation within Alberta.
