The 2019 Inter-University Workshop (IUW) held Nov. 16, 2019 attracted over seventy attendees. Students from three different universities - University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and University at Buffalo - presented their research through podium and poster presentations. The events also includes keynotes from both industry and academia as well as several networking sessions over the breaks.

The national Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) has just announced the UX Day Logo Design Contest. 

Coursera has recently put together a series of specializations that are relevant to our research. A specialization consists of a group of closely related courses that usually build upon each other. All specializations end with a Capstone Exam or a final project.

Let's all congratulate Jingru (from Humans in Complex Systems Lab) who is now working for Air Canada (Pearson Airport-Toronto) as a Occupational Health and Safety Specialist. She completed her MASc thesis in aerospace Human Factors last Fall term under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Histon.

Dr. Stacey Scott is co-organizing a pre-conference workshop at The 18th ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW 2015) in Vancouver, BC, called "Supporting "Local Remote" Collaboration.
