Valentina Castillo
Valentina Castillo recently graduated from the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) in Sustainability Management from the Faculty of Environment’s School of Environment, Enterprise, and Development (SEED). She holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the Universidad Diego Portales in Chile. Her past research studies have focused on urban conflict within cities using quantitative methods.

Her masters thesis focused on the relationship between the structural features of three large cross-sector social partnerships in Barcelona, Spain; Gwangju, South Korea; and Montreal, Canada; and how partners value gained resources when they join these types of collaboration systems. She attended COP25 in Madrid, Spain in December 2019, as an accredited member of the University of Waterloo and the Waterloo Climate Institute. She is also a Local Pathways Fellow 2020 Cohort at SDSN Youth Initiative.

Valentina joined the team in September 2018.
