Kateryna Manetska
Kateryna Manetska was a recent graduate of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Economics. From June to September 2026, she worked with the N-ZAP research team as a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern at the University of Waterloo. With an academic background in economics and a growing focus on sustainability and international development, she was particularly interested in understanding how municipal climate budgeting can bridge the gap between climate commitments and implementation by embedding climate priorities into financial planning and decision-making.
Kateryna`s role as a Research Intern focused mainly on research dissemination and content development for the N-ZAP project. She reviewed N-ZAP research publications and transformed them into shorter, simplified summaries for a broader audience. She also developed infographics and helped create and manage content for the N-ZAP website at the University of Waterloo. In addition, she supported survey outreach by researching relevant municipal contacts and helping expand the project’s contact database.
