Mariana García Medero

Mariana García Medero is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Business at IEST Anáhuac, Mexico. Her academic interests include international business, sustainability, business strategy, and research. She joined the N-ZAP research team at the University of Waterloo during the summer as a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern, contributing to research on climate change and Canadian municipalities.

As a Research Intern, Mariana`s role focused on supporting the administration of N-ZAP's second national municipal survey by researching and contacting more than 250 Canadian municipalities and identifying relevant municipal environmental and climate contacts. She also contributed to the development and dissemination of project content, including newsletters, Mailchimp campaigns, website pages, academic and public-facing materials. Her work involved organizing project documentation, translating and adapting content between English and French, and supporting the communication of N-ZAP research to municipal and public audiences.
