Collision avoidance with another individual: the influence of person-specific characteristics (Abstract only)
Research Interests
During my PhD, I focused on understanding how people adapt their body orientation and movements to avoid collisions with other pedestrians and navigate busy environments safely.
Currently, as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow, I am coordinating a longitudinal, multidisciplinary clinical trial in collaboration with Grand River Hospital. This study aims to determine how different surgical approaches for total hip arthroplasty—specifically, a novel computer-assisted navigation technique versus the traditional manual technique—affect functional outcomes during daily activities. This research has the potential to improve surgical practices and enhance patient recovery.
