Postural threat modulates human perceptions of balance-related movement
Research interests
My main research interests involve understanding the underlying mechanisms related to balance deficits and increased fall risk. I am funded by an AGE-WELL Postdoctoral Award in Technology and Aging, and am affiliated with the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging where I conduct research to better understand falls and fall-related injuries in older adults within residential care facilities. I use real world data to support the implementation of safety flooring and virtual reality applications within Schlegel Villages.
