Mapping, Analysis & Design (MAD) – more than just computing!
MAD is unique on campus in that it is not just a traditional IT group as its staff and services extend beyond what you may normally associate with computing support. This talk will cover the important IT functions that are core to all that MAD does, and it will also explain why some MAD staff may be found exploring the bogs of Spongy Lake, or occasionally covered in sawdust!
Speaker Bio
Don Duff-McCracken is the Director of MAD and has worked in the unit for over 20 years. Working in MAD was a return to the Faculty where he obtained an undergrad and Master’s degree (at some point during the Jurassic period). Don manages an incredible team of staff in MAD and loves that MAD can provide the technical and learning resources that ENV needs to help make the world a greener place.
This session will be recorded and a link added to the PDAG seminar page.
