On the Eve of Wednesday, December 13th, an unruly swath of graduate students, staff, and faculty... oh and a bunch of awesome spouses descended upon the Huether Hotel Billiards Room for a fantastic Holiday Bash. Outside the temperature dipped as falling snowflakes dusted the streets. But inside, the hearty cauldron of holiday cheer percolated. Members of the Kin department gathered, ate, chatted, participated in Dan and Jeff's crazy quiz game, and posed for some beautiful, hilarious, and amazing photos.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to all who contributed to our fundraising efforts for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Through our holiday bake sale in the lead up to the party and your contributions through the raffle prize draw at the party itself, we are proud to announce that we raised over $1000 for the food bank. They were thrilled with the donation, and we are thrilled with the support from you guys to be able to achieve this amount. Well done everyone.
Also: Congrats to Merryl Black for winning Dan and Jeff's Amazing Quiz Game (DAJQG) and to Melanie Scholz for solving the 1,000 casks of Amontillado riddle. Shout out to Binary!
