Welcome, Warriors! Whether you’re new to campus or returning, we're delighted to welcome you to the University of Waterloo Libraries. We're here to empower your learning and research. Visit us early this term—explore our spaces, discover online resources and collections, and connect with our team of information experts.

To find out more about library resources and services available to members of the UWaterloo community, here are some key tips and updates:

• Your WatCard is your library card! Use your WatCard / WatIAM to access and borrow resources from the Libraries, both in person and online.
• Library hours: If you are looking for a safe place on campus for late night studying, Davis Centre Library will be open until midnight. Dana Porter Library will close at 9 p.m. Full details on library hours. 
• Library spaces for study and collaboration: The Libraries offer a variety of spaces, if you need somewhere to relax between classes, study for exams or meet with colleagues. Many spaces are available on a first come, first served basis or study rooms can be booked online. Check how busy the Libraries are before you come so you can find your perfect study spot!
• Use library resources anywhere: Sign in online using your WatIAM and use the Libraries website and catalogue, Omni, to find books, journals, databases, guides, and research support tools, or to connect with a librarian. If you are a returning student, please note the Libraries’ website URL has changed to uwaterloo.ca/lib; remember to update your internet bookmarks! 
• Research support: Connect with one of our information experts for assistance finding information on a specific topic or attend one of our workshops. The Libraries’ research guides provide another great place to start your research. 
•  Have questions? Ask us! If you have a quick question, use our LibBot to get your questions answered 24/7! You can also ask us your questions via email, phone or in person, and our librarians are available for 1:1 consultations for research questions.
