We're here to empower your learning and research. Visit us early this term to explore our spaces, discover our collections and online resources, and connect with our team of information experts.
To help you get started, here are some key library resources and services available to the University of Waterloo community:
Your WatCard is your library card!
Use your WatCard and WatIAM credentials to borrow library materials and access online resources from anywhere.
Library hours
Looking for a safe space to study late? Davis Centre Library is open until midnight, while Dana Porter Library is open until 9 p.m. View full library hours for details.
Study and collaboration spaces
Whether you need a quiet place to focus, a spot to relax between classes or a room to work with classmates, the Libraries offer a variety of spaces. Many spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and study rooms can be booked online.
You can also check how busy the Libraries are before you come to find the space that works best for you.

Need help getting started? Connect with a librarian (our information experts for research assistance!), attend a workshop, or explore our research guides for subject-specific resources and advice.
