Whether you’re new to campus or returning, I’m delighted to welcome you to the University of Waterloo Library. Think of the library as your partner in learning and research. Visit us early this term--explore our spaces, discover online resources and collections, and connect with our team of information experts. 

To find out more about library resources and services available to members of the UWaterloo community, here are some key tips: 

• Your WatCard is your library card! Use your WatCard / WatIAM to access and borrow resources from the Library, both in person and online. 
• Library spaces for study and collaboration: The Library offers a variety of spaces, if you need somewhere to relax between classes, study for exams or meet with colleagues. Many spaces are available on a first come, first served basis or study rooms can be booked online. 
• Use the Library from anywhere: Sign in online using your WatIAM and use the library’s website and catalogue, Omni, to find books, journals, databases, guides, and research support tools, or to connect with a librarian. 
• Research support: Connect with one of our information experts for assistance finding information on a specific topic. The Library’s research guides provide another great place to start your research.  
• Have questions? Ask us!  Connect with us about any of our services or resources—using chat, email or in person.
