What is UWSpace?

UWSpace is an open access institutional repository provided by the University of Waterloo Library for the research and scholarship produced at the University of Waterloo. UWSpace provides a free, secure, and long-term home for the presentation, dissemination, and preservation of Waterloo’s digital research and scholarship. By utilizing UWSpace members of the Waterloo community ensure their work is accessible for discovery, examination, reuse and meets the requirements of the Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on Publications.

Who can deposit?

UWSpace accepts the scholarship and research generated by our designated community during their affiliation with the university: Faculty, Students, and Staff.

Note: Submissions from external researchers will be accepted if they are produced in collaboration with a member of our designated community.

What types of research are currently accepted?

UWSpace currently accepts:

  • Graduate theses and dissertations>

  • Faculty & Staff

    • Peer-reviewed journal articles

      • final full-text peer-reviewed manuscript (the author's accepted manuscript version, also known as a post-print)

      • the version published in the journal (publisher's version)

    • Preprints

    • Conference Papers

    • Technical Paper

    • White Papers

    • Books

    • Book Chapters

    • Conference Presentations

If you have research outputs that are not listed contact us and we'll work with you to determine if UWSpace is the best place for their long-term preservation.
