Expanding Opportunities through Inclusive Mentorship in Psychology
The mission of the Lift mentorship program is to provide resources to all Psychology undergraduate students about graduate studies in Psychology and to provide more intensive mentorship to students who identify as first generation, BIPOC, or are members of other under-represented groups, including gender and sexually diverse individuals and people with disabilities. In addition to guiding students by giving them the knowledge base and practical skills to successfully apply to graduate programs, we aim to increase students’ sense of belonging in the department; foster ties between undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty members; and promote engagement and passion for psychological research.
