Graeme Smith

In July 2023, Dr. Smith joined the University of Waterloo as a faculty member of the Institute for Quantum Computing and an associate professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics. 

Dr. Smith’s research focuses on the ‘information’ part of quantum information theory. His research considers the limits of information storage, transmission, and processing. As a theorist, Smith studies the mathematical side of quantum information and is interested in combinatorics and computation.
