Mu Zhu

Dr. Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, Director of Data Science, and a University Research Chair. He obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University. 

Mu's main research interests are machine learning, multivariate analysis, and network data analysis, with their applications to bioinformatics, health informatics, and data mining. He is currently working with colleagues and students on generative neural networks, statistical dependence, and large covariance matrices.
