Oliver Pechenik
Dr. Oliver Pechenik completed his Ph.D in 2016 under the guidance of Alexander Yong at UIUC, where he was an National Science Foundation Research Fellow and an Illinois Distinguished Fellow. After a year as a Hill Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, he was an Assistant Professor and National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan for three years. Oliver joined the University of Waterloo in 2020 as an Assistant Professor.
Oliver's research interests are in algebraic combinatorics, with a focus on dynamics, modern symmetric function theory, and relations to Schubert calculus.
