Biographical sketch: Jacob D. Janzen (Feb. 2, 1895-Aug. 10, 1984) was born in the Molotschna Colony in Ukraine. On May 11, 1921 he married Elisabeth Unrau; they had seven children. They immigrated to Winkler, Manitoba in 1925 and the following year moved to Leamington, Ontario. He was ordained as a minister in 1926 and actively served for 45 years.

Custodial history: Photocopies made by the Mennonite Archives of Ontario in late 1970s.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of photocopies of materials prepared by Janzen in his later years. Primarily in German.
