Biographical sketch: Susannah Betzner (8 June 1860-24 September 1948)  was born and raised in Waterloo County, the daughter of Jacob B. Betzner (5 September 1818- ) and Maria Bretz (5 February 1829- ). She married Ephraim S. Cressman (4 October 1855-26 February 1911); they had four daughters, including Florence Cressman, who married Earle Snyder. They were farmers. She moved to Berlin, Ontario (later Kitchener) after her husband's death.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of a recipe book maintained by Susannah Cressman until her death, and a diary from 1935-1940.

Custodial history: The recipe book was donated to the Mennonite Archives of Ontario by Helen Reusser, a granddaughter, in December 1998; the diary was donated by Helen Reusser in October 2008.

Notes: Susannah Cressman's diaries from 1911-1946 were transcribed and edited by Anne Eby Millar and Douglas Millar. Copies are located in the Milton Good Library. The Archives does not hold the original diaries from 1911-1934.
