Biographical sketch: Florence Horning of Ephrata, Pennsylvania began recording sermons for the benefit of her friend Catherine Horst, who could not attend services, in 1961. Florence is the daughter of Franklin M. Horning and granddaughter of Bishop Moses G. Horning.

Custodial history: Florence Horning gave permission for the Archives to borrow and copy her two typewritten bound volumes of sermons in 2015.

Scope and content: Sermons from Weaverland Mennonite Conference church services and a few funeral services in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.
