Title: Lloyd L. Bender family fonds

Biographical sketch: Lloyd L. Bender, the son of Solomon R. and Rachel (Iutzi) Bender, was born in East Zorra Township in 1912. He married Leona Bender in 1939; the couple had six children.The family farmed and raised cattle on Lot 29 and part of Lot 30, Concession 18, East Zorra. Lloyd died in 1998, and Leona in 2004.
Custodial history: Bound book donated by Amy Bender in 2013; carved box in the possession of Lloyd and Leona Bender donated by Vivan Bender and received from Amy Bender in 2021
Scope and content: The fonds consists of: 1) a bound book of reprinted family photographs and memories of Lloyd Bender by siblings, children and grandchildren; 2) a chip-carved and painted wooden box (20 x 18 x 12 cm) crafted by iternerant carver Fred G. Hoffman, dated 30 Nov 1921.
