Biographical sketch: Nicholas Fransen (1907-2000) was born in Mariawohl, Molotschna, South Russia. He immigrated to Canada in 1926 and became a farmer and minister in Vineland, Ontario.
Custodial history: Donated to the Archives in 2014 by Edith Fransen
Scope and content: In 2009, Nicholas' daughter Edith Fransen compiled an article about Mariawohl which is essentially a Fransen family genealogy along with genealogical notes about other families living in Mariawohl between 1914 and 1926. Edith prepared the article in anticipation of a visit by family members to Mariawohl in 2009.
