Biographical sketch: Abraham Hiebert Wiebe (Sept. 1, 1892-Aug. 29, 1979) was born in Bergfeld, Manitoba. He studied at Bluffton College, Ohio State University and the University of Wisconsin. He had a career in Fisheries, beginning at the U.S. federal hatchery at Fairport, Iowa (1926-1933), then the Texas Game, Fish and Oyster Commission, and from 1937 to 1957 for the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Custodial history: Donated by Henry Regier, University of Toronto in 1982; supplementary information donated by Henry Regier in 2016.
Scope and content: The fonds consists of correspondence and biographical information about Dr. Wiebe gathered by Henry Regier.
