Title: Christian R. Brunk fonds
Dates of creation: 1930-1960s
Physical description: 5 cm of textual records
Biographical sketch: Christian (Chris) R. Brunk (5 January 1884-8 January 1972). He married Fannie Kropf on 13 April 1909; they had two children. He was ordained deacon of the Poole Mennonite Church in 1920 or 1921, and served for many years as secretary of the Ontario Amish Mennonite Conference. He and his family farmed in Ellis Township until 1955.
Scope and content: The fonds consists of notes taken at Winter Bible School, a collection of remembrance cards from funerals within the Amish Mennonite and Mennonite community, and a deacon's book (1937-1945) that contains a variety of notes that relate both to Ontario Amish Mennonite conference matters (Old People's home, etc.) and local matters at the Poole Mennonite Church.
Custodial history: Donated to the Mennonite Archives of Ontario by the family in the 1990s.
