Biographical sketch: Eldon Hunsberger (1896-1953) was born to Enos and Angeline (Erb) Hunsberger. He married Mary Cressman (1900-1992) in 1923; the couple had eight children. He farmed near Baden, Ontario and served as deacon of Shantz Mennonite Church from 1940-1953.

  2. Letter of resignation to E.I. McLoughry, 1937
    Note: McLoughry was the secretary of the Waterloo and Wellington County Holstein Breeder's Club. In the letter, Hunsberger resigned his position as president of the club in order to take up the role of deacon at Shantz.

    Note: Woldemar Neufeld lived with and worked as a labourer for Eldon and Mary for eight months in 1925 as a Russlaender immigrant newly arrived in Canada. The letter includes a hand-drawn pen and ink floral drawing by Neufeld.
