Biographical sketch: Jacob J. Rempel (1886-1980) was born in Tiegenhof. He married in 1912, but his first wife and two children died in 1921. In 1923 he married Lena Woelke. They immigrated to Canada in 1926. For sixteen years they lived in Grunthal, Manitoba, but later moved to Ontario.
Custodial history: Photocopied by the Mennonite Archives of Ontario in 1978.
Scope and content: The fonds consists of a paper, "Gedanken und Erinnerungen aus den Jahren, 1918-1924" written by J.J. Rempel.
