Biographical sketch: Little is known of Jacob Oberholtzer, a Bertie Township farmer. He was arrested during the War of 1812 and sentenced to death for High Treason. It does not appear the sentence was carried out.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of items photocopied from original letters and petitions.
