Title: Ralph and Dorothy (Schmitt) Shantz fonds

Biographical sketch: Ralph Shantz and Dorothy Schmitt (1937-2021) were married for 59 years. The couple had two children. Dorothy was a schoolteacher and community volunteer who also ran a gift shop in St. Agatha called "Shantz's Country Cupboard." Ralph was a farmer and from 1968-2006, a municipal politician. During this time he served for ten years as the mayor of Wilmot Township.

Scope and content: A funeral card with obituary for Dorothy Shantz, and an article about Ralph Shantz in the magazine Embracing Change, 4 Dec 2022.
