Photographs

Mennonite Archival Image DatabasePhotographs owned by the Mennonite Archives of Ontario are catalogued in the Mennonite Archival Image Database (MAID).

Approximately one-third of the catalogued photographs have scanned images attached. If you wish to see one of our photographs listed in MAID but not scanned, please contact us.  Presently the database does not include slides; check the listing below for slides and negatives.

Digital images may be purchased from the archives for non-commercial use using MAID's online ordering system. A charge of $5.00 per electronic image is made for a 300 dpi .jpg image.

The cost of images for commercial purposes should be negotiated with the archives. These may also require the permission of a separate copyright holder.

Slides & Negatives

Listed below are slide sets donated to the Mennonite Archives of Ontario, primarily around the theme indicated by the title. They may contain unique photographs of persons, congregations or institutions within the collecting interest of the Mennonite Archives of Ontario. A small percentage of these images are presently available online.

The Peter Etril Snyder negative collection of 52,000 images is also classified in this area as there are no print images in the collection. Selective images will be scanned and available in the photograph database as processing continues.
