Celebrating Ben Cornish's PhD Defense Success

We are excited to share that Ben Cornish has successfully completed his PhD thesis titled:

“Advancing Clinical Gait Assessment Methods with Low-Cost Triaxial Accelerometers: Applications for Individuals with Neurodegenerative Diseases.”

His research aims to advance clinical evaluation of walking control through innovative and cost-effective solutions, such as wearable sensor technology. Ben is grateful for his experiences as part of the NiMBaL research team and extends thanks to the examining committee for their valuable feedback and guidance. Special appreciation also goes to his supervisor, committee members, and lab colleagues for their ongoing support throughout his time at UW. Ben is continuing with his research career with the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging at the Labarge Centre for Mobility in Aging as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow where he plans to extend his research to examine walking as it occurs in daily life.

Congratulations to Ben on this significant achievement and we wish him luck on his future endeavours!!
