Dr. McIlroy is the winner of the prestigious University of Waterloo Award of Excellence in Graduate Supervision for 2016-2017. The award, established by the Graduate Studies Office and the Graduate Student Association, recognizes exemplary faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in graduate student supervision.
Dr. McIlroy has supervised many Postdoctoral fellows, Doctoral students, Master's students, Undergraduate students, and Research Assistants in his years at the University of Waterloo. His passion for the application of neuroscience to clinical populations, hands-on approach to each student-led project, and drive to get volunteers involved in the lab allow for the NiMBaL team to excel each and every day.
