Past Education:
PhD Kinesiology (Neuroscience), 2020 - University of Waterloo
Research Summary/Interests:
Sherri’s doctoral research focused on understanding the role of neck proprioception in balance control. Altered neck proprioception observed in patients with neck trauma has been shown to impact postural and spatial orientation perception. Her research interests stemmed from her clinical work as a physiotherapist where she treated patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries including neck pain and dysfunction. In addition, Sherri's research interests also include exploring functional mobility and balance control in older adults.
