The combination of physical and mental illness had a negative impact on self-perception among older adolescents, but not for younger ones, shows a new University of Waterloo study.

Remembrance Day 2023

by Vivek Goel , President and Vice Chancellor

As we mark Remembrance Day this year, we are reminded that the shadow of violent conflict is not confined to the pages of history books; it is a present and pressing reality. November 11 is our opportunity to honour the sacrifices of those who have put themselves in harm’s way to preserve our freedoms.

These images showcase Euclid's potential, demonstrating the quality of Euclid’s data and its readiness to develop the most extensive 3D map of the universe to date — unveiling some of its long-held secrets.

Leveraging technology to improve tuberculosis health care

Every year, around 10 million people contract tuberculosis (TB) — a treatable disease where bacteria attack a patient’s lungs. Globally, only about half of those who contract TB yearly are diagnosed.
