The University of Waterloo, an institution recognized around the world for its unique approach to education and talent development, is welcoming a visionary on talent-driven organizations, as its 11th chancellor.
More than 6,100 students received degrees as part of the University of Waterloo's spring convocation. There were more than 5,000 undergraduate degrees and 1,000 graduate degrees handed out at a record 12 ceremonies.

The University of Waterloo is proud to announce that one of its former Department of Chemistry students, German Augusto Gómez-Rios, will receive one of Canada’s most prestigious academic awards at Spring convocation: the Governor General’s Academic Gold Medal.

Graduating students will receive their academic hoods and be presented with their official diplomas in ceremonies that take place from June 12 to 16.

Today, Velocity has worked with more than 300 startups, employing 2,250+ people and raising more than $750 million in funding to develop exciting technologies.
