The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Office is committed to advancing optometric practice through evidence-informed, research-based education. We support optometrists and optometric staff in delivering the highest standard of patient care by offering accessible, relevant and accredited learning opportunities.
Our programs are designed to align with current best practices and, where applicable, meet COPE accreditation standards for optometrists. Through a mix of annual conferences, online courses and hybrid learning, we provide education that reflects the evolving needs of the profession across Canada.
We strive to establish national standards for professional development and specialty certification and aim to empower optometric professionals by establishing educational programs aimed at lifelong learning, clinical excellence and professional leadership.
