As Director Stan Woo has travelled the country this last year, he’s been sharing an exciting new vision for the School of Optometry & Vision Science. Building on the generosity of donors who have contributed to our clinic renovation project, we’ve reimagined, expanded and rebranded the project to set our sights even higher.

Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science to have first virtual reality optometry lab in Canada
A new virtual reality (VR) training lab at the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry & Vision Science, will help Canada’s next generation of optometrists learn how to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases more quickly and accurately.
WOVS alumna Barbara Caffrey becomes AAO President
The American Academy of Optometry has named WOVS alumna Dr. Barbara Caffrey, OD, PhD, FAAO as its new president. She is the first Canadian woman to lead the Academy.
