New Faculty

The Waterloo Eye Institute’s enhanced research and clinical infrastructure have positioned Waterloo to recruit world-leading scholars. We are pleased to announce five new faculty members will join the School of Optometry & Vision Science this year. The new faculty members visited the School on June 16th to participate in a full-day onboarding and orientation session. The day included meetings with faculty and staff from optometry and a cross section of other departments and faculties. Discussion topics included Vision Science Research & Graduate Studies and Clinic & Residency programs to allow the new faculty members to learn more about their relevant area of focus. The new faculty members’ specializations will add new expertise while at the same time enhancing existing clinical and research capacity. Their specializations include Binocular Vision Specialty Contact Lens, Myopia Mechanisms, Extended Reality and Visuomotor Control and Neurophysiology.
