Bio of Nicholas Wolterstorff
Nicholas Wolterstorff received his BA degree from Calvin College and his PhD degree from Harvard University. He has taught at several universities included Notre Dame, Princeton, Texas, Michigan, and the Free University in Amsterdam. Most recently, he was the Noah Porrter professor of philosophical theology in the Divinity School at Yale University until his retirement in 2001.
Professor Wolterstorff is a much sought after speaker. He has given the Wilde Lectures at Oxford University (1993), the Gifford Lectures at St. Andrews University (1995), and the Store Lectures at Princeton Seminary (1998). Among Wolterstorff's many honours and awards are through honorary doctorates. He is also the author of many books include Reason Within the Bounds of Religious (1976), Until Justice and Peach Embrace (1983) and Lament for a Son (1987).
