We welcome Colin Phipps, PhD, into our group at the School of Pharmacy, University of Waterloo. Colin is a recent graduate in Applied Mathematics, University of Waterloo. His doctoral research focussed on the development of mathematical models for the rational combination of cancer therapies including the use of chemotherapy-loaded nanodelivery vehicles and molecular inhibitors that mitigate chemoresistance. He also constructed solid tumour models that account for microenvironmental factors, such as cell metabolism, acidosis and antioxidant systems, which were used to suggest novel treatment targets. Colin joins us as a postdoctoral fellow.
